About Damien

Growing up in a small town in Louisiana as a part of a big, extended family taught me about the joys of celebrating life and the pain of loving others through hardships and unrecognized mental health struggles.

I saw the complex and beautiful nature of human beings, sometimes not even recognizing the dysfunction I was experiencing.

After my original plan to attend college right after high school disappeared unexpectedly, I was left with a challenging decision about what to do next. The path led me to proudly serve in the US Navy and Army, specializing in intelligence and mental health.

During my service, I was raising 3 children and understood firsthand the difficulty of managing mental and medical conditions while building a family and a career.

These two vantage points, my training and education in the service, and the character-building of the toughest job in the world - parenting - suddenly made everything come full circle.

It all made sense. My story. My purpose. My message.

With over 15 years of behavioral healthcare experience, I’m very passionate about helping others and providing a safe place for growth, recovery, and healing, free of judgment.

My clinical approach is client-centered and solution-focused. Because I’ve been on both sides. There’s nothing more rewarding than helping clients recognize and believe that there is hope.

I’ve held business development and executive leadership positions for multiple national companies and helped to build the first mental health hospital in Williamson County from the ground up.

I’m proud to be one of the few black mental health business owners in the area and intend to continue to support growth in mental health care services for black people, people of color, and marginalized groups.
